On the afternoon of December 9, 2025, Li De, Party Committee Secretary and President of the Foshan Municipal CCP Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, as well as President of the Foshan International Chamber of Commerce Council, led a delegation to visit the Foshan Mould Industry Association. The delegation conducted research and guidance on key topics such as industrial innovation and upgrading, government-enterprise collaboration empowerment, and international market expansion. The association's president and secretariat team warmly hosted the visit, and in-depth discussions took place between both parties. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Liu Shuiyi.

During the discussion, the head of the association reported in detail on the key work achievements in 2025, including the coordination and docking of the industrial chain, the promotion of digital transformation, and the construction of a talent training system. At the same time, they objectively analyzed the challenges faced by the industry in international exhibition resource docking, high-end technology cooperation, and introduced the work plan for strengthening platform construction, deepening government enterprise communication, and leading the mold industry to go global in 2026.

President Li De highly praised the association's role as a bridge and link, and its contribution to the upgrading of the "mother of industry" industry. He emphasized that the mold industry is an important support for the high-quality development of Foshan's manufacturing industry. Based on his rich experience in government and enterprise work, he provides guidance on three major directions: firstly, deepening the integration of "cross-border e-commerce+industrial belt", relying on the global resource network of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to help enterprises expand their international markets together; Secondly, we will strengthen the empowerment of technological innovation, focus on the trends of digitalization and green manufacturing, and build a platform for industry university research cooperation; The third is to optimize the communication mechanism between government and enterprises. The association should accurately reflect industry demands, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will link policy resources to safeguard the development of enterprises. Both sides also reached preliminary consensus on specific cooperation matters such as jointly organizing international exhibitions and sharing economic and trade information.

The association stated that this guidance has pointed out a clear direction for the development of the industry. In the future, it will deeply implement the spirit of President Li De's instructions, continuously improve the service system, deepen normal cooperation with the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, promote the high-end, intelligent, and international development of Foshan's mold industry, and inject stronger impetus into the coordinated development of the manufacturing industry in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Next, the association will organize industry trends and data, and prepare to establish the Foshan Council for the Promotion of International Trade Mold Industry Committee to better lead the Foshan mold industry in exploring markets and laying out industries.
